About Us

My name is Josh Harris, and I am a full time teacher at Beech High School in Sumner County. Back in 2018, students approached me and asked if we could start a fishing club. Since then, we have grown leaps and bounds to become the BASS Nation club team we are today. In 2019, we added a junior team in addition to the high school I sponsored. This team became known as the Sumner County Junior Bass Team. Today, we have 34 young men and women from elementary to high school age on our teams as we travel around the great state of Tennessee participating in Bassmaster tournaments hosted by the Tennessee BASS Nation High School and Youth organization.

After years of sponsoring/coaching these students in competitive bass fishing, I had a realization that there are many other students within our district that do not have access to the same level of clubs that we do. I decided to explore expanding our team into the Sumner County Bass Team that will serve the entire county so that we could include any eligible 2nd-8th grade students for our junior team; and 9th-12th grade students for our high school team.

If you think your student may be a fit within our club, please reach out to us to see what it takes to become a member. Additionally, if you have a company that would love to sponsor these young men and women and could help to promote their decision to have an outdoor active lifestyle, please let us know so that we may partner with you!
